Marc E. Cordero, MD, is a general surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is vice chairman of the Department of Surgery at UPMC East and UPMC McKeesport and medical director of the West Mifflin Surgery Center, as well as an associate professor of surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy in Pontiac, Michigan.

Dr. Cordero’s clinical interests include general surgery and wound care. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons Pennsylvania Medical Society, Allegheny County Medical Society, Southwestern PA Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, and the American Association for Physician Leadership. Dr. Cordero lives in Peters Township with his wife and daughter. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time at Disney with his family.
