I had two bad experiences with my this care provider. After first my visiting, I took some blood test according to his prescriptions, but I did not get any phone call for the result soon. I got a phone call from the provider 3 weeks later after I got the results via MYUPMC. After my second visiting, I emailed to the office of provider for a request medication prescription, but I did not get any answering within 3 weeks. I was so disappointed about two experiences.

I was impressed with the time Dr. Achkar took during my appointment. Later, he personally called to add a test. Thus, I feel he was reviewing my information after my visit and thought the new test would help him more accurately diagnose my condition or lack theeof.

Dr Achkar has my complete respect for his professionalism and caring - - just a wonderful doctor. I am truly saddened that after many, many years, I am no longer able to have him as my designated primary care physician due to his practice changing dynamics. I cannot imagine finding another doctor like him - I am so spoiled by him!!

Dr Achkar is wonderful...I'm very sorry I am no longer able to have him as my primary care physician. We had a wonderful patient/doctor relationship over many, many years. He will be a hard act to follow.
