I flew in from out of town specifically to see Dr. Sekula due to an suspected Chiari Malformation. I called to request an appointment with anyone from Chiari Team since your website says that UPMC has a Chiari Center. I just so happened to be scheduled with Dr. Sekula. Since my Chiari is very minimal 3mm it is not something he would operate on, which is understandable and I would agree completely. I flew to Pittsburgh for insight and guidance with the issues including memory loss I have been having and I stead was offered an injection for Occipital Neuralgia and referred to a pain management clinic closer to a home. I will not be attending this clinic as I was not searching for a medication fix but rather validation and help moving forward. Things to watch out for, signs to be aware of, scans to be explained.

Dr. Raymond Sekula --is the BEST

November 04, 2019

He took zero time to answer questions. he said he could not help me with no explanation even though I was referred from my family doctor.

November 04, 2019

Dr Sekula diagnosed my problem and clearly explained my options. I choose surgery and am very pleased with results.

October 28, 2019

He did not seem to care about me ,did know why I was there.

October 21, 2019

It was very helpful talking to Dr. Sekula. I needed to know what options I still had left He was able to give me some options that could possibly help my condition.

Dr. Sekula is very knowledgeable about my care needs

October 07, 2019

Dr. Sekula treats me with respect, believing me about my symptoms and the level of pain I've reported for issues that relate to his area of specialty. He has been honest about my options for treatment for multiple issues, which has been helpful in finding the best, most appropriate care. He also diagnosed the final manifestation of a long-standing pain issue that finally resolved years of frustration and confusion (suprascapular nerve damage).

October 07, 2019

Dr. Sekula was clear and concise is his explanation of the MRI results. Ultimately he could not improve my stuation, however he recommended and made an appointment with another doctor he felt might be able to help me.
