Amanda Harrington, MD, is a physiatrist and is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury medicine. She is the director of spinal cord injury services at the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute, director of the Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship, and is an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami and completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center, followed by her fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Harrington’s clinical interests include management of spinal cord injury, spasticity, botulinum toxin injections, baclofen pump management, and medical education. She has nine peer-reviewed publications, eight book chapters, and multiple presentations, and she is a member of the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
