I travel 45 minutes to see Dr Chen when there is a pain management physician 10 minutes from my house. He spends time with me, shows me MRI films & explains my problems. He is also concerned about the whole person not just the back pain but how treatment, meds & dosages may interact with other medical diagnoses I have. He encourages trying to be as active as I can. Dr Chen cares about his patients. We are not just another number.

Since I experienced a network issue while attempting to complete this survey the first time, I am uncertain what was saved and what wasn't, so pardon me if I repeat myself. Dr. Chen was very understanding in my decision to not go in one direction of treatment, due to my family history of dementia, and he respected my decision.

Doctor Chen is the first doctor to ever treat my pain as a real thing I have been living with and experiencing. He changed my life and gave me a real future back that isn't just constant debilitating pain and gave me options for treatment and even a support app to help me maintain my treatment. Dr Chen is very friendly. He appears to really care about his patients. He also makes sure you fully understand everything about the different treatment options for my condition. Today he showed me video of my spine that he worked off of for today's procedure and explained why I have the issues I do. My favorite doctor ever!
