I really liked Dr. Pappas after meeting him. He explained my situation very clearly. I feel very good about being under his care.

Dr. Papas was very thorough in his explanations of what to expect during and after my knee surgery. He included me in all decisions regarding my procedure before and after it was done. He made sure I was comfortable with everything that would be done.

Dr. Papas seemed like a very nice Dr. & listened to all of my concerns.

The Dr kept asking me what I wanted - I'm not the Dr - you tell me what I need or what the process should be. He offered a cane and support hose. That is treating the symptoms, not the problem. I did end up with a cortisone shot and they said to give it a month and that I could use ice to reduce the swelling. They also called in a prescription, but I have to check with my primary care to see if it is ok to take since they are testing me for kidney issues they see in my blood tests. I guess I need to research what the options are for arthritis in the knee - did not leave feeling I knew what normal treatment is - keep getting cortisone shots? Not even sure how long they last - that wasn't mentioned and I forgot to ask. They did say I wasn't at the stage where surgery was needed.

I had been to this provider back in 2010 for my right knee. At that time I got an MRI and was told it was a meniscus tear and was given the rooster crown shot. This time I had xrays done on both knees and was told it was arthritis in both. When I mentioned the previous results I felt like it was blown off. Which diagnosis was correct - can they both be correct - I have no idea.

I was completely satisfied with the receptionist, Dr Papus, and his 2 assistants. X-rays were taken immediately to determine treatment and immediate treatment was given. Therapy and a prescription was ordered which I started immediately. I have already gotten relief from my pain and I have already recommended Dr Papus to a family member with a similar problem.
