Have always felt comfortable when dealing with the staff and dr. in this office. Hopefully, will not need surgery again, but would love to be able to keep him as my dr.

He is an amazing surgeon, after over 15 years on prescription pain killers I had immediate relief. I am no longer on any prescriptions and when I go in for follow up he just grins and smiles at me. He has given me my life back after several failed back surgeries and I can't thank him enough.

I was extremely pleased with the care I received. Every detail was clearly explained. I would highly recommend this particular doctor to anyone. He showed concern for my health problem and made sure I completely understood his findings and recommendations. His nurse showed the same concern and again made sure of my complete understanding. All staff was extremely pleasant, respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I left my appointment feeling relieved and confident that my referring doctor made an excellent choice for my continued health care.

I am very pleased with the results of my back operation. It has been 6 months now and my quality of life has improved very well. I thank Dr. Abla and all the care and concerns that I have experienced since my procedure at UPMC Presby.

It was clear that the doctor wasn't up to speed on more modern treatments related to my injury. After explaining to the doctor that the current medicines that I was taking wasn't working, and that an alternate treatment was working. He still recommended at the end of the meeting to continue using the non-working treatment, even though I had been doing that treatment for over 6 months. He didn't discount the new treatment, and said to continue that plan, but it didn't make sense to do both given what they do.
