had a wonderful experience with lasik, I was fearful going into surgery but my concerns were alleviated

August 28, 2017

I waited 3 hours to see Dr Mammen which is not an exaggeration. I got there at 2 for my 2:10 appointment. I did not leave the office until 5:15pm. when he came into the office he did not apologize or even introduce himself. he did not explain the tests he was doing to my eyes until I asked. the tests took a total of 3 minutes (he timed them on his phone). so I waited 3 hours for a 3 minute appointment and the doctor could not even be bothered to apologize or introduce himself. this makes me feel that he didn't even care to know my situation or who I am as a patient. I've seen dozens of doctors over the past 5 months trying to figure out if I have MS and the longest I've ever waited is 30 minutes. 3 hours is ridiculous. I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my life and I've seen dozens.

made me fell very comfortable when discussing my options

Dr Mammen is the best. I have full confidence in him. I wish he was located more closely to my home.

dr is not accessible by phone for questions. the wait time to. be seen for an appt is completely ridiculous. two hours past appt time, both times in oakland as well as two hours for twenty minutes of testing both times is outrageous. thats eight hours spent that should have been less than two. why even have appt times at all.
