Lazarus Mayoglou, DO, FACNS, is a neurologist and is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. He is medical director of Epilepsy Services at UPMC Hamot and a clinical assistant professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at UPMC Hamot, followed by his fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Mayoglou’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, and his research interests include insular connectivity and the functional interaction between specific cortical regions of the brain. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, and the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Lazarus is an extremely intelligent individual who has a talent for what he does. He has made me feel like my problems are his problems, and we are working through them together. I would very highly recommend him to anyone who needs to see a neurologist.
