Dr. Tevar is by far the best practitioner I have ever met. He's knowledgeable not only about the medicine related to transplants, but the psychology of both donors and recipients. As busy as he is, he always makes time for his patients and I always leave the office feeling like I had his full attention. It's obvious that he is passionate not only about his patients, but the overall success of the transplant program at Starzyl Institute.6

I am impressed with Dr. Tevar's care. His concern, compassion and time spent with me is excellent. I've already recommended the Transplant Program at Hamot to others due to the staff's commitment and care.

Dr. Tevar and the entire staff have been amazing and I have had a great experience with them.

Dr. Tevar and Angela Barber are the best! They made my kidney donation the best experience possible - even when I was so sick and in lots of pain they had me come in as often as I wanted for checkups and reassurance.

The entire Starzl team that I deal with is fabulous. Specificly Dr. Tvar and Angela Barber. My husband and I are so thankful for Dr Tvar and can't express our gratitude enough. Also, Angela is competent and takes care of you as though you are family.

Dr. Tevar is a great provider - he communicates his expertise in a very down-to-earth fashion, and his friendliness and true interest in my health is extremely comforting.

Dr. Tevar is one in a million. I hope the hospital realizes what an asset he is.

dr tevar is one of the best doctors I've ever had to deal with. :) he makes me feel safe, cared for, and like he's not just bullshitting me about things. i trust him and I'm glad that he's my doctor.

I get weekly bloodwork for Dr. Teavr since my transplant. I receive calls from the nurse when I need to change the dose of meds. I called once after hours to make sure I was able to take allergy medicine and which one. The nurse got back to me with in minutes. i have had great care from the entire staff. i would recommend to any of my family or friends needing transplant to UPMC. I decided to have my transplant here because of the reputation of the program through UPMC. Living here in Pittsburgh knowing I have access to great medical care is the best.
