Kyle Soltys, MD, is a board-certified pediatric liver transplant surgeon at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and an associate professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Dr. Soltys earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed a General Surgery Residency at the University Hospital Department of Surgery in Newark, NJ, followed by a Transplant Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Recanati-Miller Transplant Institute. Finally, he completed a Transplantation Fellowship at UPMC’s Thomas E. Starzl Transplant Institute.
His research and clinical interests include late graft loss in pediatric transplantation, infectious complications of pediatric transplant, ischemia/reperfusion injury in fatty liver models, preservation injury and post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders.
