Dr. Hamilton received his medical degree and residency training from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He completed subspecialty complex spine, spinal deformity, scoliosis and spine surgical oncology training with a combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic (AOSpine) fellowships at the University of Virginia. He is board-certified in neurological surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Hamilton is nationally involved in teaching resident physicians and his peers advanced and current techniques in scoliosis and adult spine deformity. He is recognized as a leading expert in scoliosis, adult spinal deformity, and trauma.

Dr. Hamilton was extremely caring, attentive, and honestly provided care I haven't received from a neurosurgeon in a long time. He is an extremely attentive doctor and I appreciated the visit, even though he had to refer me out to his coworker due to my special requirements.
