I was very impressed with Dr Schmidhofer. He came into the exam room very knowledgeable about my health, what tests I had, results and along with his own thoughts as to my issues. I would certainly recommend him.

My visit was through a helpful referral from a doctor friend to investigate further an abnormality my cardiologist physician had identified in India during "routine" tests conducted every few years. I could not have asked for more. The examination and review of medical history, both through medical records I brought along and via discussion with me were thorough. Dr Shmidhofer and his UPMC Fellow colleague explained very thoroughly and patiently their findings and conclusions reached and recommended next steps in a manner that I fully understood (as a non medical person). I felt that I was a participant in my own care - that was very good!! It was clear that my care was in very expert and friendly hands. I could not have asked for more.

Dr Schmidhoffer explains and makes recommendations about my health care based on the latest research. I appreciate his effort to give me the best information for me to understand my options and make an informed decision.
