the time with the MD was very fast. he was reassuring that my condition was progressing very well which was helpful to me. in retrospect, I wish he would have asked if I had any questions. I did, but the time with him went so quick that at first I forgot to ask him. I realized afterwards when I was getting a new cast put on and so I mentioned to the tech who was applying the cast. he brought in a medical student to answer me. while I appreciate that she may be knowledgeable, I would have preferred to talk with the doctor. I'm not confident that she really had the expertise to answer my questions...especially about osteopenia. I felt her responses were very general.

Dr. Gruen is a wonderful doctor. I was very lucky to be his patient.

Dr. Gruen and his staff are friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Gruen to anyone with orthopedic needs.

Dr. Greun is amazing. my surgery has not caused any pain. I was off pain killers 3 days after leaving the hospital! He is a gem, I would recommend him to anyone!

extremely pleased with the total care I received at presby. way better care than I received at Allegheny general. I liked to see a lot of newbies doctors and nurses as they are the best of the best period.

I am having a very good experience with Dr. Gruen and his staff. Everyone is very nice and helpful, and my progress is just as Dr. Gruen had told me it would be right after my surgery. I also like the fact that Dr. Gruen does not "sugar coat" what I can expect to do in the future. I ask questions about when I can expect to do certain activity, and he honestly answers my questions, even though it may not be what I want to hear. But at least I can get my head around it and accept it, rather than get my hopes up only to be disappointed when I can't perform one of my favorite activities.

always great

Dr Gruen is exceptional as a physician who looks you in the eye and speaks about the good and bad of the situation. I don't feel like I'm a box just checked off. Never afraid to ask other physicians opinions so he can do the best for you. Humility honesty and real concern makes him a trusted physician.
