I was frankly gobsmacked by the news I received. To be honest, I wasn't expecting bad news so I was a bit bemused and it was difficult to grasp, but I appreciated Dr. Medich's forthrightness and the clarity with which he explained the issues. I have more questions, but I couldn't have asked them at the time. Dr. Medich's directness was necessary and helpful. He also has a sense of humor (or, at least, seemed to appreciate my, uh, quirky sense of humor) and that made the appointment easier. He also didn't waste any time getting follow-up appointments set up, immediately calling another physician to ensure that he could get a team together that he wanted--he did that right there in the room so things were set up quickly and efficiently. His nurses followed up as well and took time to talk to me afterward.
