Dr. Gimbel made my (mastectomy & reconstruction) journey easier to deal with. I have never looked back or questioned my decision.

He was great and listened to everything I had to say. He didn't jump to conclusions and ordered tests that could tell us more about the issues I am having.

I recently had breast reduction surgery and Dr Gimbel and his staff were amazing. I am beyond pleased with the result of the surgery and with the professional manner Dr Gimbel has.

I want to thank the staff and Dr. Gimbel for sharing with the patients that the office visit day was very busy and to anticipate a significant wait because he is not in the office on Christmas Day and New Years Day (Tuesday). This helped as I brought plenty of work to do and could plan my day accordingly. Dr. Gimbel felt so bad about the delays. He is an EXCELLENT person and surgeon. I appreciate how he cares about the entire experience for the patient (from waiting, the visit, the surgical experience and more). He is a treasure to his patients and to UPMC!

I was disappointed that the doctor rescheduled my surgery based on information I gave him months ago. He did not oppose the date on my earlier visit so I made complex family arrangements based on this date. Then two weeks before my surgery he cancelled the date because it was too soon after my last chemo. He was given all of these dates at my earlier visit and also from doctor Steiman, so he could have informed me months ago that my surgery could not occur on the proposed date. it was just sloppy calendaring that could have been avoided.
