Quite attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. and on time.

I think Dr Bender is excellent. She knows the details of my issues and explains things very well. And, she is one of the few doctors I've had that I feel I can talk to and not feel stupid.

Good experience with a great Physician!

January 25, 2018

Dr. Bender is amazing, I wish I had met her sooner as my previous kidney doctor was not very nice or personable and spent less than 5 minutes with me each visit. Dr. Bender shows a sincere attitude - she looks as me as if she is a mother and I appreciate her and her knowledge so much more because of that.

excellent

December 26, 2017

Dr. Bender spent a lot of time going over my records & health issues so she could see what she needed to do to order test etc. to figure out my condition. I was very impressed.

November 30, 2017

Dr Bender is one of the best doctors i've ever had. She is easy to talk to and she explains things very clearly to me. She is very concerned about my health care and also very knowledgeable of it.

I'm pleased with my Doctor and Upmc in general

November 28, 2017

Dr. Bender is not only authoritative but also very personable. She is open, direct, and has a great sense of humor. She is also incredibly thorough in terms of reviewing ALL medical records during the visit, and she makes detailed notes for the future. Only one other doctor--in my experience--has been as thorough as she is. All very reassuring. One other thing: I often feel in my visit with her that we have connected as human beings (I-THou rather than just "Expert- Patient"). If only they could teach this in med school.
