Sarah Berman, MD, PhD, is a neurologist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is an associate professor of Neurology and Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Berman’s clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy Bodies, movement disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and deep brain stimulation. Her research interests include neurodegeneration and the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania Medical Advisory Board, the American Academy of Neurology, the Society for Neuroscience, the Movement Disorders Society, and the Parkinson Study Group.
