We love Dr. Varma and his staff. We have been seeing Dr. Varma for roughly 8-9 years now. We make a 12 hour round trip visit just for our sons check ups. We feel so comfortable and confident in his medical care and he has always explained things so that we know what is going on with our son and his plan of care. His nurses are also absolutely great. I feel really confident with my sons care that he gets from them.

Our family absolutely loves Dr. Varma. My son is 10 years old and we have been seeing him since my son was life flighted to children's back in 2007. We have always trusted everything Dr. Varma has done and we make a 12 hour round trip every time from our house. I cannot thank Dr. Varma enough for caring for our son.

listen to the parent when their talking without interrupting. they know their child best.

Our regular pediatrician is amazing. Dr. Varma treated me like I was an idiot. He asked if I had any questions and when I asked, he laughed at me and did not answer them. I left the visit with more questions and not feeling satisfied at all. I was very disappointed with this visit and would like to find a Dr. that will not talk down to me and one that could answer my very simple questions.

waiting time in a doctor office is awefully long.

Wonderful initial visit. Well pleased

This was my first meeting with a neurologist about a chronic condition that my child is experiencing, but she was also under the care of a GI doctor. Neither doctor has explained very much about her tentative diagnosis - everything I know I've learned from researching it myself. You spend more time discussing the issues with the nurses at UPMC than the doctors, who spend about 10 minutes with the patient and do not convey enough relevant information. I have no idea about the plan of action for her condition after the test results come in, again, except for referring to internet sources. I leave every appt. with a specialist completely frustrated. And overall, it takes a ridiculously long time for follow-up visits. My child is dealing with a chronic condition - she is missing too much school and our lives are completely disrupted. Three months is a long time to wait for the next steps.

best care anybody could ask for! will not go any where else for her care
