I felt the provider tried to listen to my concerns but then quickly dismissed or negated them

Dr. Jeyabalan was horrible, rude, and wouldnt listen to anything I said. She had me under an impression that was completely wrong.

The purpose of my visit was to determine if my husband and I could have more children. I very much appreciated the comprehensive discussion surrounding my past medical history. It would be typical to go into an office and explain much of my past medical history, which creates anxiety and allows doubt about the physician's knowledge to creep in, but the doctors at Maternal Fetal Medicine were prepared, they knew the background from which I was coming to them and they were ready for the visit and discussion. I felt relief and a great sense of being well taken care of. There is a direct correlation between how much I felt I could trust their advice and how much they were intentional and competent with my care.

I asked this provider questions regarding my fertility and once she realized I did not meet the criteria to get her particular services she said I would have to ask my gynecologist. I understand that she was correct in redirecting me, but I did feel that she wanted to hurry me out of the appointment once she found out that I would not qualify for her services. She also gave me all of the information she would give a client who did qualify for her services-- a printout on the liklihood of having genetic abnormalities moving forward, which was fine, but since I felt more addressed in a "standard" and rushed way, I did not feel like she was too willing to hear my questions. Since pregnancy and fertility is a sensitive issue, I found this to be a bit jarring.

The physician, nurse, ultrasound technician, and front staff were excellent. They answered all of my questions at my first prenatal appointment and made me feel comfortable.
