Timothy C. Wong, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is director of the UPMC Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center (HCM Center), associate director of the UPMC Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center, and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

As director of the UPMC Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center, which is the oldest and largest HCM Center of Excellence in the region, Dr, Wong leads a multi-disciplinary team in providing a comprehensive range of care from diagnosis, genetic counseling, advanced medical therapy, and septal reduction therapy (alcohol septal ablation or septal myectomy surgery). The HCM Center team also provides access to novel drug therapy through clinical trials.
