I love Dr. Bashore and happily drive 45+ minutes each way to see her, despite having dozens of other options within a few minutes of home.

The dr spent most of the time reviewing and reading my chart/information. She made decisions about my care without discussing what I thought of it or allowing time to ask questions. I didn't feel like I could ask but was being told what to do. I attempted to explain what I was experiencing and felt but these comments were shrugged off. These were related to how a medication was working to alleviate depression symptoms. I wasn't listened to or my comments and feelings were disregarded.

I was in for an annual physical checkup, and have no real big health problems. Thus my answers above. I do want to add that the fact that the doctor had to be staring at and filling in answers on a computer screen almost the entire time in the exam room was a bummer. It does not foster a good personal connection nor does it make the patient feel like she has the doctor's full attention. I answered a lot of questions on the computer before my visit. Why should the doc have to be filling in answers during my visit? I can understand needing to write notes, but whatever my doctor was doing on that computer, it was not writing down notes. I actually felt like better attention paid during a video doctor visit I had last year, and that's strange. An in-person visit should be between people -- not two people with a computer inbetween.

Dr Bashore has been my PCP for ten years. I trust her medical decision making and professionalism. She is empathetic and kind. My entire family follows with her, and we are glad to be with her.
