Dr Ward is an astute surgeon and compassionate physician. He is down to earth and knowledgeable. He is a blessing to our community as he is the sole surgeon for Venango County. I am concerned that he will become burned out and leave our rural area. I wish UPMC would develop a more thorough understanding of health care in our rural area of Northern Appalachia. Being born and raised in this country I am not aware of a time in the past 4 decades that we had only one general surgeon. Dr Ward needs to be recognized for his commitment and understanding of our needs in this county

I like Dr. Ward very much. He is caring and takes time with me. He's brought me through quite a few "bad" times, so I'm grateful for his skill, his patience, and his office's quick responses for when I need to get in to see him.

Dr. Ward and the nurse were very good at answering questions and getting information needed as this was a consult for upcoming colonoscopy the scheduler is also very good and explain information that was needed prior to having a colonoscopy
