Dr. Mahmud delivered good news to me and when I was overcome with emotion upon hearing the news, he was very gentle and sweet.

October 22, 2019

Dr. Mahmud displays an impeccable level of professionalism--conducting each visit with efficiency, thoughtfulness/thoroughness and always with patient inclusion throughout. Dr. Mahmud's obvious level of medical expertise combines with his calm, friendly manner, inspiring patient confidence in excellent quality of care received.

I felt a lack of interest in my visit.

October 15, 2019

Dr. Mahmud, explains not only the what of care/treatment but the why. This helps me understand why certain protocols are important and how to best follow them to stabilize and improve my health.

positive experience

October 09, 2019

He was horrible. From the moment he walked in, he had an attitude like I was an inconvenience. When I explained why I was there, he seemed annoyed, like it was a waste of time. After questioning me about symptoms, he told me that a previous diagnosis by another specialist was wrong, claiming that symptoms were always the same, when my provider and medical literature states otherwise. He barely glanced at my symptom checklist and immediately stated everything was due to my weight. He told me it was pointless for me to diet and I should just have surgery or do optifast. When I inquired about a problem with the optifast, he didn't take my question seriously. At that point, I lost my cool and told him I was tired of providers blaming everything on my weight instead of actually ruling things out first. He completely ignored it and didn't even apologize for making me upset. He has a horrible bedside manner and should not be an obesity specialist because he has absolutely no compassion for his obese patients and wants to blame everything on them. Yes, those of us that are obese play a significant part in our health problems but a real doctor would look into other issues that could be a result or contributing factors.

Dr. Mahmud is great. He takes time with his patients and listens carefully to their concerns. He understands that just because lab results look good, that the patient still may feel unwell and takes that into account rather than just dismissing your health concerns.

He answered my questions well, and provided some additional, related information.
