Dr. Al Hashash will be leaving her clinical position as of Feb. 1 and I am so sorry to see her go. She is the first gastroenterologist (of the 4 I have seen at UPMC) to make me feel as if she truly cared about my concerns. She has consistently responded to my questions within 24 hours and was warm, courteous, and knowledgeable during our visits. My condition has improved more in a single year under her care than it did in the previous 4 years combined. As someone who has suffered from multiple chronic illnesses since the age of 11, I have seen my fair share of healthcare providers. Dr. Al Hashash provided the highest quality care and exhibited, in my experience, unrivaled bedside manner. She is the type of doctor that comes to mind when I think of the phrase "life-changing medicine."

Dr. Al Hashhash has a wonderfully warm demeanor and makes me feel very comfortable discussing my issues openly. In my last visit she needed to explain that she would be taking an extended personal leave and was very clear and helpful in describing who I would be seeing in the interim and making sure I was comfortable with the coming change.

I love Dr. Al Hashash; she is my favorite doctor. She takes the time to listen to my questions/concerns and answers them thoroughly. I've never left her office feeling like my questions weren't answered, or that we didn't have enough time together. She is my only doctor who I feel works with me regarding my health; instead of feeling like I'm being told and I don't have a say. I will truly miss her as my doctor. She is an absolutely amazing physician.

it's always a good experience with Dr. Al Hashash and each and every staff member that I come in contact with during my visit. I am always treated well, my concerns and questions are always addressed . Courtesy and respect are given to me by the entire staff from the minute I walk into the waiting room, during my visit and on the way out. Excellent provider.

I'm very impressed with this provider. Dr. Al-Hashhash became my gastroenterologist this year after I'd been a patient of Dr. Baidoo, who moved on to another hospital in another part of the country. She listens carefully, takes my concerns seriously, and is very good at communicating with me while viewing my records--many providers aren't good at double-tasking in that way. I'm also impressed and grateful that she is following up with scheduling a colonoscopy in the next few weeks--she spoke directly with the scheduler and emphasized the need that it be done very soon.

I had to transition to a new doctor and I was concerned that the quality of care would continue. I was satisfied That Dr. Alhashash will handle my condition with the same professionalism as the previous doctor.

Very thorough, actually listened to me and provided really helpful information.

Dr. Al Hashash is a great doctor and she spends the time with you that you need and doesn't rush you out. She will listen to you and explain things in a simple way to understand things.
