I have been dealing with these symptoms since 1998-1998. at that time a Rheumatologist in VA diagnosed me with HLAB27 positivity and AK Arthritis. In 2001 I moved back to Pittsburgh and I have seen 3 other Rheumatologist since 2001 and each of them completely dismissed me to the point of being Rude!! Dr. Starz is the 1st Doctor that has taken my concerns seriously and Made me feel I was not Crazy. When a patient feels sick all the time and they have real symptoms and they see a Doctor and are ignored it is like a punch in the gut. Dr. Starz finally gave me hope that we can try to really make progress in reliving this chronic pain I have lived with for YEARS!!! UPMC is lucky to have him and I am blessed he is now my Doctor.

Dr. Starz is brilliant and just the perfect doctor for me! He epitomizes professionalism and caring. He deserves an award from UPMC for his years of flawless service. A Pittsburgh treasure!

Terry Starz is a fantastic doctor who takes the time necessary to understand patient needs and explain medical issues in terms non-professionals can understand. He is a real asset to UPMC.

DR. Starz is an incredibly fabulous physician. I've never had another doctor who is as knows as much and is as thorough and caring as he is.

Best doctor that I know.

The receptionist and other adjunct staff seemed more competent and better prepared for the jobs. Dr. Starz was exceptional in the time spent with me and his understanding of my issues.

I am extremely pleased with the care that I received from Dr. Starz. He's the best! There was a mix up with my appointment and it was not on their schedule. However, they accommodated me since I was in the office which was very thoughtful as this could disrupt their schedule for the day.

I commend Dr. Starz in helping to resolve the problem I have had with periodic atrial fibrillation attacks. He has worked with Dr. Girdhar, my cardiologist, and determined that it was the dose of levothroxine that I was taking for my hypothroidism which was causing some aberration with the thryroid and Pituitary gland and this was setting my blood pressure up and then the heart would go into fibrillation. It took time, effort and a lot of thought outside of an office visit to figure this out. Now my blood pressure and heart beat are stabilized. I am so grateful for that. It was affecting my life because I was afraid to travel, visit with family and friends out of the area and became somewhat more housebound because of this condition. I did not want to be away from my doctors and hospital in case of an emergency. I am much more comfortable and at ease now with travelling and visiting and less worried.

Took a good amount of time to listen and explain things. I thought he and his nurse were excellent.
