I thought that my visit went really well. It was obvious that the doctor was running behind but I was not upset because I know he was working with elderly and maybe some new patients just as my wife and I are since our doctor retired.

The care was very good.

This is a top line provider who took personal interest in my care. Dr. Secosky discussed my medications at length and he made sure that I understood what may have to be done in the future to alleviate my condition. I appreciated his candor and openness.

always a great and caring experience with Dr. Joseph Secosky. Dr. Joe is one of the reasons I survived bacterial meningitis and two strokes (ambulance took me to Forbes/Highmark). UPMC is SUPERIOR a (10) compared to Highmark (-0). THANKS to Dr. Joe, my husband survived a heart attack on 3/17/15 that I drive to UPMC McKeesport. He's the best!

when I called them the doctor called me at home immediately and ask questions also saw me in the hospitalwhen needed

The doctor acknowledged that he had no reference information about our family member's recent hospitalization because the computer system was "down". This office visit was a follow-up appointment for that recent hospitalization. Although the doctor solicited background information from us (the family members who accompanied the patient to the office visit), he interrupted our attempts to share the information. He determined conclusions based on the partial information we did share. To us he seemed in a hurry & unskilled with active listening. His actions during this visit (our first meeting with him) did not build rapport or inspire confidence.

He explained what my normal BP should be for someone my age which no one else has ever done. The other doctors always tell me its high and try to get me on BP meds. Humm.
