The care/concern from both Drs. that spoke with me. was excellent. I have not been to many Drs. in my lifetime (75 yrs.), but I can say the ones that I have seen and been attended to at UPMC have proved excellent - accolades to the medical staff that are attending me - outstanding.

Dr. Liu was very patient and listened carefully. She seemed very concerned about all the details of my problem and overall health/medical history. She also seemed very concerned that I was able to understand WHY the recommendations she made represented, in her opinion, the best choices for treatment both short and long term. She was also able to explain how my insurance coverage would apply to the treatment program, which I wasn't really expecting. I was VERY satisfied with my experience in consulting with this physician.

I have been a patient of Dr. Liu's for the past 5 years for pain management sessions once a month. She is an excellent doctor who really listens to her patients and takes time to really understand their health concerns and issues relating to their daily activities and pain levels. I love Dr. Liu.

I waited for an hour and a half past my appointed time (I arrived early also). I was placed in an examining room where a nurse told me to sit on the examining cot. She leftand I remained there for another 45 minutes ( there was no chair for me to comfortably sit with a back rest. only a computer stool in the room. The air conditioner lid was on the floor. The walls of the room had some instructions on questions regarding care by the Health Care Personneland interestingly a 2015 UPMC calendar. An employee, possibly a Resident Physican appeared and research my medical history and left. she appeared about 20 minutes later with the Accupuncturist, a Dr. Betty Lui. A short conversation re my heel bone spur followed. She reappeared with some acupuncture needles, inserted them and left only to re-appear in less than half an hour to remove the needles. She was in a hurry and told me that I will need to come back for additional visits. I have since then gone to another Accupuncturist whose appointments last a full hour.

Dr. Liu is kind and concerned. She has cultivated my trust and has earned my respect. She listens well and offers suggestions for therapies outside her field such as massage, exercise, mediation and relaxation techniques. Her gentle and patient manner create an atmosphere of healing and well being that I know is essential to better health.
